Donnie serves as Pastor to Families and Children with the emphasis on the kids. He loves kids and has been serving in children's ministry for over 15 years. He is married to Christy who serves on the creative arts team and also in the family ministry. Donnie and Christy met while they were both attending Shorter College where Donnie played baseball and Christie sang in the Chorale. They both joked that their paths should never have crossed. They have three children Trip, Ty, and Taylor. Between Trip's music, Ty's sports, and Taylor's gymnastics, the Slade household never has a dull moment.
